Elfin Cove is a mecca for sportfishing in Southeast Alaska.
Founded by commercial troll fishermen in the 1930s, today this tiny harbor is host to half a dozen lodges for the serious saltwater angler chasing salmon, halibut, ling cod and rockfish.
A small natural bay on Chichagof Island, Elfin Cove is approximately 50 miles west of Juneau. Just outside the protected harbor rolls the open ocean swell of Cross Sound and the Pacific Ocean. Because Elfin Cove lies so close to the ocean, it offers some of the best fishing in Southeast Alaska.
While the year-round human population of Elfin Cove is fewer than ten souls, the harbor comes alive in summer months when the fishing season opens.
Alaska Seaplanes offers three flights daily to Elfin Cove in the summer months, and one flight per day in the winter. Our knowledgeable agents are on hand seven days a week to help you plan the fishing trip of a lifetime.
