Thousands of visitors have commented that this tour has been their best ever after a flight seeing trip over the famous 1500 square mile JUNEAU ICE FIELDS. Two Dozen Glaciers feeding from a mile thick sheet of ice slowly winding down to the sea or a mountain lake. And to view the many Glaciers that drop down from the Ice fields into the TAKU RIVER VALLEY is a thrill you will never forget.
Then there are the special research camps located on the Ice fields, run by the University of Idaho's, Dr. Maynard Miller. These camps are positioned through out the Fields on the top of "Nunitaks" (Mountain peaks that pierce the Ice sheet). You may even be lucky to see the research scientists and students as they move about the Fields with special "Snow Cats".
This is a very special flight and you'll need LOTS of film! We have two ways to experience the JUNEAU ICE FIELDS from the Air.
