If you see and do nothing else during your visit to the Great Land, then one special place that awaits you is the GLACIER BAY NATIONAL MONUMENT. At just over 4300 square miles, Glacier Bay is Americas largest national monument, and simply contains the most beautiful and amazing scenery in the world. Just over 200 years ago the area now contained in the monument was completely covered by a mile thick ice cape. These ice fields rapidly retreated north over 20 miles with the effect of speeding up geological time, thus allowing the aerial visitor an exciting opportunity to travel back in time to the very end of the last great ice age.

Inside Glacier Bay there are 16 active tidewater glaciers including the rapidly receding Muir Glacier, named after John Muir, the famed naturalist and explorer who documented the bay during the last century. Animal life of all types abound inside the bay, including humpback whales, mountain goats, sea lions, and seals, brown and black bears, and eagles. Located 50 miles NW. by air from Juneau, Alaska Seaplanes has an air tour of this very special part of Alaska.

We offer a 2 and 1/2 hour aerial tour of the GLACIER BAY NATIONAL MONUMENT:
