Pack Creek Bear Tours: (applies to PCBT only)
  • Passenger check-in is 45 minutes prior to departure at Alaska Seaplane Ticket Counter.
  • $50 non-refundable fee upon booking. The balance is fully refundable up to 14 days prior to departure. Between two weeks and three days prior to departure, balance is 50% refundable. Cancellation within 72 hours of departure - no refund.
  • All tours take place in the Pack Creek Zoological Area, at either Pack Creek or Windfall Harbor, under permit by the U.S. Forest Service, Admiralty Island National Monument.
  • Refer to www.packcreekbeartours.com for more details of tour. A confirmation receipt with details of this tour will arrive via email shortly after booking.
Check In:
  • Passenger check-in is one hour prior to departure. Baggage will be loaded 30 minutes prior to departure and passenger boarding will start 15 minutes before scheduled departure.
  • Passengers not checked in 15 minutes prior to schedule departure time will be considered no shows and at that time seats will be released to standby passengers.
    • When a passenger no shows for a flight, the return leg will be automatically canceled.
Reservations:
  • All reservations are to be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • Cancellations or changes may be made up to 24 hours prior to departure to avoid a service fee of $50.00
Tickets:
  • Tickets are fully refundable up to 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.
    • Refunds will be issued to the original purchaser and in the original form of payment.
      • Refunds for payment by credit card may be issued instantly.
      • Refunds for cash and check will take 7-10 business days to be issued.
  • Tickets are valid for 1 year from date of issue.
Charters:
  • Alaska Seaplanes requires a deposit of 50% at the time of booking all charters. The remaining 50% is due prior to the charter departing.
  • Changes and cancellations may be made within 48 hours of your scheduled departure to avoid penalties.
    • Penalty for no-showing or cancelling within 48 hours will be your 50% deposit.
  • If your flight is cancelled due to weather you may rebook at the next available time or receive a full refund.
  • All expenses incurred due to weather cancellations are the responsibility of the passenger.
Flights:
  • Due to varied routings, changing weather conditions and extenuating circumstances there are occasional delays and/or cancelled flights. Arrival and departure times are usually accurate but cannot be guaranteed.
  • If your flight is cancelled due to weather you may rebook on the next available flight or receive a full refund.
  • All expenses incurred due to weather cancellations are the responsibility of the passenger.
Infants and Children:
  • One infant under two (2) may be carried on the lap of a paying adult for no additional charge.
  • Children over the age of eight (8) may fly unaccompanied provided the parent or guardian remains with the child until enplaned and is met at the final destination by another parent or guardian.
    • Alaska Seaplanes may deny boarding to an unaccompanied child if we feel the flight may be diverted for weather.
Special Needs:
  • Alaska Seaplanes will make every effort to accommodate all passengers but do to the size and configuration of our aircraft it may sometimes be difficult. Please call our reservation office to discuss our ability to accommodate your needs.
Baggage:
  • Each ticketed passengers is allowed 50 pounds of checked baggage.
    • Each item must be weighed at check in.
    • Alaska Seaplanes will make every effort to have your baggage travel with you but space is limited on our aircraft. Several smaller soft sided bags are recommended over large and/or hard side items. Large coolers, fish boxes, kennels, gun cases, rod cases, bicycles, strollers, etc. are difficult to load and may not physically fit onboard your same aircraft. If your items do not fit onboard your aircraft we will fly them to your destination as quickly as space permits.
  • Any total weight over 50 pounds will be charged as excess baggage and loaded on a space-available basis.
  • Carry-on baggage is not permitted aboard any Alaska Seaplanes flight.
    • All items must be secured by the pilot in the appropriate aircraft compartment.
  • Baggage must be packaged properly and securely, items must be dry and odorless.
  • All baggage and cargo is subject to inspection by Alaska Seaplanes.
Hazardous Materials:
  • All items considered hazardous by CFR49 must be declared, packaged appropriately and proper paperwork filled out. If you have any questions regarding your items please ask an Alaska Seaplanes employee.
    • Examples include but are not limited to: Bear mace, compressed gases, batteries, flammable and corrosive items.
Animals:
  • Alaska Seaplanes will accept live animals for transportation with the following conditions:
    • Animals must be harmless, odorless and require no attention during transit.
    • Animal must be contained in a kennel.
    • The animal and kennel will be weighed and included in the passenger’s baggage allowance, or charged at the animal freight rate.
    • If the animal is not picked up within 2 hours after arrival or prior to the close of business the animal will be placed in a local kennel at the passenger’s expense.
Liability:
  • Liability for the loss of, or damage to, baggage under the control of Alaska Seaplanes will be limited to the actual value up to a maximum of $200 per full -fare passenger. Passengers may declare the value of their baggage to be above $200, but not more than $3,300, by paying $1.00 per $100 for excess valuation.
  • Alaska Seaplanes will be liable for property only for the period of time it is in our custody.
Limitation of Liability:
  • Improperly packaged or protected items will be accepted at the shippers’ risk.
  • Alaska Seaplanes will make every effort to ensure your baggage arrives at your destination undamaged but will not accept responsibility for:
    • Incidental damage such as scuffs, dents, and stains.
    • Damage to wheels, handles, or any items attached to the outside of your baggage.
    • Fragile and/or valuable items such as: cash, papers, jewelry, cameras, video equipment, computers, binoculars, artwork, artifacts, furs, prescription medication and photographs.
    • Live animals.
    • Alaska Seaplanes has a cooler and freezer available in Juneau and will make every effort to store your perishable items in the correct place. However we will not be liable for any deterioration or spoilage that may occur.
    • Alaska Seaplanes will not be liable for any expenses, including delivery charges, resulting from baggage not being loaded on the same flight as the passenger.
Refunds:
  • Refunds for unused reservations must be requested within 90 days of the original purchase date.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original purchaser and made in the original form of payment.
